About us
25+ Years Experience
Miami Boating Lessons was founded in April 2023 out of a clear need to raise the standard of boating safety in South Florida. While Florida law requires boaters born after January 1, 1988 to complete a Boating Safety Education course and hold a valid driver’s license, this basic certification, often completed online, is simply not enough to properly teach someone how to operate a boat safely and confidently.
Recognizing this gap, we created Miami Boating Lessons to provide practical, hands-on training with experienced USCG Licensed Captains who bring over 25 years of on-water experience and deep knowledge of local waterways. Every lesson is designed to build your confidence, improve your boat handling, and adapt core safety principles to your specific boat and needs. Our mission is simple: to make boating safer by giving you the real-world skills and knowledge that online courses can't provide.
